This Privacy Policy explains how Priya Sangwan ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares personal data when you use TapScript AI (the "Service"). We act as the data controller for personal data processed through the Service.
1. Data we collect
- Account data: email address, hashed password, and account identifiers you provide when you sign up.
- Content you create: the issues, emotions, body locations, intensity ratings, and tapping scripts you generate and save.
- Support data: messages you send us when you request help.
- Usage & device data: log data, IP address, browser and device identifiers, pages visited, and error/telemetry data.
- Billing metadata: subscription status, plan, and renewal dates. Payment card details are collected and processed by Paddle, not us.
2. Why we use your data (purposes & legal bases)
- To provide the Service (create your account, generate and store scripts, deliver features) — legal basis: performance of a contract.
- To operate billing and subscriptions via our Merchant of Record — legal basis: performance of a contract and legal obligation.
- To keep the Service secure and prevent fraud and abuse — legal basis: legitimate interests.
- To improve the Service and troubleshoot issues — legal basis: legitimate interests.
- To respond to support requests — legal basis: legitimate interests and, where relevant, performance of a contract.
- To comply with legal obligations (tax, accounting, lawful requests) — legal basis: legal obligation.
3. How we share your data
We share personal data only with the following categories of recipients:
- Paddle — our online reseller and Merchant of Record for all orders. Paddle handles payments, subscription management, tax compliance, invoicing, refunds, and payment-related customer service.
- Infrastructure and service providers that host our application, database, authentication, email delivery, error monitoring, and analytics on our behalf, under appropriate confidentiality and data processing terms.
- AI model providers that process the prompts required to generate your tapping scripts, on our behalf and under contract.
- Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where necessary.
- Authorities where required by law, court order, or to protect rights, property, or safety.
4. International transfers
Your data may be processed in countries outside your own, including in the United States and the European Economic Area. Where such transfers occur we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
5. Retention
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer needed it is deleted or anonymised. You can delete individual saved scripts at any time from your account.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We use appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege database policies — to protect personal data. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We use strictly necessary cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and to remember essential preferences. If we introduce analytics or marketing cookies, we will update this notice and, where required, ask for your consent.

The Service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
